Danae & Douglas tie the knot in technicolour!

May 14, 2010

Maybe it’s the dreary grey spring we’re having, but I seem to be drawn to jewel-bright colour schemes at the mo! White weddings can look amazing if they’re given a modern twist, but I just love brides like Danae who shun tradition and go for a full-on colour fest!! Danae described her flirty pink 1950s frock as “the ultimate party dress” – and boy what a party they had! “I wanted our guests to have fun and feel totally chilled, and when the bride’s wearing pink and carrying a bouquet of sunflowers, you know it’s ok to loosen your tie and relax!”  Her dress was handmade but  Candy Anthony do very similar designs and I’m also loving Dolly Dagger’s 1950s prom dresses. More of this stunner to come in a future post… Photography: Lillian and Leonard. Flowers: Flowerevolution

  1. That dress is fabulous and I love the colours she chose for her bouquet and how they clash brilliantly with the dress.

  2. LOVE the dress – gorgeous colour and the flowers are beautiful too!
