Magical garden venues: Loseley Park, Surrey
When I’m not obsessing about my own garden, I love having a nose around other people’s or getting inspiration from one of the expertly designed public gardens in my area. I’m already a huge fan of nearby RHS Wisley, but its vast size makes it a bit daunting for novice gardeners like me. Loseley Park near Godalming isn’t as grand in scale but the planting schemes are just as impressive. I went there for the first time in ages last week and fell in love with the place all over again. Its veg garden was ablaze with poppies and sweet peas, and the walled rose garden was fragrant with the heady scent of colourful David Austin varieties.
But by far my favourite area was the White Garden – a serene space which would be perfect for a stylish outdoor wedding reception. The tranquil fountain and modern marquee are surrounded by banks of white summer flowers and silvery green foliage that would make a lovely backdrop for wedding pictures. If you fancy getting married in a magical secret garden then this is the ultimate spot – even if the sun isn’t shining it still looks beautiful! Click here to find out more.
